Purely Pets Tripe Patties are made of 100% New Zealand green unbleached tripe. Tripe is an offal that comes from the stomach of ruminating animals, such as cows and sheep. Green, unbleached tripe is exactly as the name implies: it keeps its rich green colour because it has not been bleached. A lot of readily-available tripe is bleached, but this process strips the tripe of many of its nutrients.
Green, unbleached tripe  is a wonder-food; this offal contains natural probiotics and gastric juices that actually aid the digestion of animals that eat it. Tripe is also very low in fat, making it a great food for overweight pets.
Tripe makes a great addition to any raw food diet - but while dogs love it, we don't suggest feeding it plain to cats (it isn't as palatable on its own to our feline friends); instead feed them a product that already has tripe blended in.
